Muybridge in Three Movements

In Person: Catherine Galasso and Rebecca Solnit

In conjunction with the exhibition Helios: Eadweard Muybridge in a Time of Change, we present an evening of Muybridge-inspired dance choreographed and directed by Catherine Galasso; a Muybridge-driven conversation on cinematic space and time led by author Rebecca Solnit; and four Muybridge-inspired short films chosen by Steve Polta and Rebecca Solnit.

SCREENING: Breakaway by Bruce Conner, INGENIVM NOBIS IPSA PVELLA FECIT (1974, excerpts) by Hollis Frampton, Le Prince: Leeds Bridge 1888 (2005) by Ken Jacobs, Motion Studies (1995) by Mark Wilson.
