Founded by filmmaker Bruce Baillie in 1961, 2026 marks San Francisco Cinematheque’s 65th year of championing artist-made, avant-garde and experimental film, video through screenings, publications and archives.
In celebration of SFC’s 65 years, we are thrilled to offer a limited-edition commemorative bandana as a special membership perk.
Drawing from Cinematheque’s varied visual history, our bandana—designed by Justin Wambolt-Reynolds and custom-printed by hand in an edition of 100 by Karl Beck—features legacy logos from eras past and celebrates the many forms Cinematheque has taken while honoring its ongoing commitment to experimental cinema.

Receiving Your Gift
Bandanas may be picked up in person at the CROSSROADS 2026 reception—Thursday, September 3 at an undisclosed location—or during CROSSROADS festival events (September 4–6 at Gray Area). Bandanas not picked up in person will be mailed to qualifying members after the festival.
