CROSSROADS needs a kickstart!
Dozens of wonderful rewards generously donated by featured Cinematheque artists and collaborating organizations support our fundraising campaign for this year’s iteration of CROSSROADS: Artist books, DVDs, art works and original films, as well as our limited-edition tote bag featuring a custom design (created for Cinematheque in 1995) by GEORGE KUCHAR!
Please help us now and pledge! Our campaign ends on March 30.
The fifth annual CROSSROADS Moving Image Arts Festival, produced and presented by San Francisco Cinematheque, will manifest April 3–6, 2014 at Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, the Victoria Theatre and Kadist Art Foundation in San Francisco. As a showcase for recent and rediscovered avant-garde and experimental works, CROSSROADS creates an international forum where artists can meet and share their ideas.
Over the course of four days, CROSSROADS will feature an extensive program of new films and live projector performances by more than 30 national and international artists. Highlights include world premieres by Nathaniel Dorsky, Jeremy Moss, Mónica Savirón and others as well as an installation of A Spell to Ward Off the Darkness with artist talk by Ben Rivers at Kadist Art Foundation, plus live performances by Seitz vs Gendreau, Elise Baldwin and MSHR. Full festival details available here.
Expenses incurred in the production of CROSSROADS include, filmmaker travel and honoraria, festival promotions, theater and equipment rental, events technical staff and festival catalog production.
The first four years of CROSSROADS were tremendously successful. We need your help to make this year even better!
