As the Cinematheque moves towards completion of our fifth year of programming at Yerba Buena Gardens Center for the Arts, we present a selection of luminous new films by Stan Brakhage, whose astonishing and uninterrupted productivity now spans nearly five decades. Tonight’s selection includes Preludes 19-24, Blue Value, Polite Madness, The Fur of Home, Concrescence (with Phil Solomon), Beautiful Funerals, Commingled Containers, Cat of the Worm’s Green Realm, and other films which Brakhage will be released during the next three months.
