Filmmaker Takahiko Iimura will be present
Taka limura continues to explore the relationship between image and reality, the experience of passing time and the elementary materials of the cinematic apparatus with elegant simplicity. Japan’s most renowned avant-garde filmmaker has recently begun working with videotape (he will present two evenings of work at S.F.’s Museum of Modern Art), but for tonight’s program Iimura will offer an overview of his films, including two performances using film and projectors.
