Born in 1923. In 1943 made his first contact with the graphic automation of certain Surrealist artists and with the manifestos of Breton. Started filmmaking in 1960 making 8mm photoplays and collage movie mixes combining animation and live-action. 1962 saw the first appearance of Dr. Gaz, art-destruct alter-ego. Also the beginning ofto the Rayday program (word and image fusions) and of a series of happening/film-events that incorporated simultaneous projections, sound poetry, and live-action. Now trying to unite poetry, performance, film and graphics within the walls of Dr. Gaz’s Theatre of the Brain.
