About SFABF: For the third year in a row, Minnesota Street Project Foundation is pleased to present the San Francisco Art Book Fair. One of the most anticipated, free, large-scale annual Bay Area arts events, SFABF celebrates art publishing and print culture, bringing together independent publishers, artists, designers, collectors, and enthusiasts from around the world. Founded in 2016, SFABF is a dynamic, multi-day event showcasing a wide range of printed material, including artists’ books, zines, monographs, art catalogs, periodicals, and printed ephemera. SFABF 2025 expands on past offerings, inviting visitors to experience new and never-before seen programs, exhibitions and events, including large-scale, multi-screen film/video programming at the 1201 Minnesota Street warehouse, curated by San Francisco Cinematheque.
CINEMATHEQUE SCREENING GALLERY: 1201 Minnesota Street
With the recent unveiling of the Minnesota Street Project Foundation’s majestic Screening Gallery, an exhibition space emerged without parallel in the Bay Area arts community. Featuring state-of-the-art audio/video technology the impressively transformable 3,000-square-foot space allows for near infinite variability in large-scale video presentation. On Thursday, Friday and Saturday during SFABF, San Francisco Cinematheque will activate the Screening Gallery with curated programs of multi-channel film/video work presented across nearly 70 feet of gallery space including multi-channel installation work and single-channel film work expanded and remixed for this weekend only. See the full Screening Gallery schedule below and explore each day’s lineup at the linked pages. This series is curated by Steve Polta of San Francisco Cinematheque and is made possible thanks to Minnesota Street Project Foundation.
