Filmmaker Saul Levine, who will be premiering new work at the Cinematheque in June, remains one of America’s staunchest defenders of Super-8 and a continuing inspiration for young filmmakers. Tonight, Levine has selected recent films from the Boston underground scene: Sodom by Luther Price (formerly Tom Rhoads); Echoes and Trouble Is by Chris Nickerson; Ruthie and Caitlin II by Anne Steuernagel; Chintz by Pelle Lowe; Vacant Lot, Haze, Kaleidoscope, and Dot to Dot by Lynn Toland; No Orchards and Movies and Pearls by Janet Callahan; and The Falls by Dana Moser.
